Description
The Barolo Monvigliero Riserva di Castello di Verduno was born in the Monvigliero cru of the same name, a place highly suited for the cultivation of Nebbiolo, within the Cuneo municipality of Verduno.
It is produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, with maceration on the skins for 30 days. Subsequently the wine ages for 30 months in oak barrels and for a further 40 months in bottle, before being marketed.
The Castello di Verduno Barolo Monvigliero Riserva has a ruby red color. The nose opens with fresh hints of red fruits and spices, including cinnamon. On the palate it is elegantly structured, with soft tannins.
Perfect to accompany mushroom risotto, stewed meats and roasts, it is ideal in combination with game and mature cheeses.
