Description

The Barolo Monrobiolo di Bussia is produced by Fratelli Barale, a winery that has been producing wine in the municipality of Barolo since the end of the 19th century. Today Eleonora and Gloria Barale lead the company. The grapes come from the Monrobiolo di Bussia vineyard of the same name, from a vineyard planted in 2014 through mass selection.

The grapes are normally harvested at the beginning of October, to then be softly pressed. Fermentation and maceration take place in thermoregulated oak vats for approx. 15 days. The wine then ages for 30 months in French oak barrels. The wine is finally bottled without clarification or stabilization and remains in the bottle for at least 24 months.

Garnet in colour, the wine has a broad and ethereal nose, with hints of dried rose, ripe red fruits and spices. The sip is dry and of great structure, velvety and with silky tannins.

This Barolo goes very well with roasted red meats and noble poultry, game, braised meats and aged cheeses.
