Description
Barolo Monprivato di Sordo comes from vineyards located in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto, in the province of Cuneo.
It is produced only with Nebbiolo grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, with maceration of 4-6 weeks in contact with the skins depending on the vintage. Subsequently the wine ages for 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels and ages in steel, for 4-6 months, and for a further 6 months in bottle, before being placed on the market.
The Barolo Monprivato di Sordo has a ruby red color tending towards garnet. The nose opens with a large and persistent bouquet, with elegant sensations that recall amarena, accompanied by delicate floral nuances, which over time leave room for pleasant notes of resin and sweet spices. On the palate it is warm and well structured, in perfect balance between freshness and tannins.
Excellent to accompany roasts, this Barolo is ideal in combination with all game dishes.
