Description
Barolo di Sordo is born in vineyards located in Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga d'Alba, Monforte d'Alba, La Morra, Verduno and Grinzane Cavour, in the heart of the DOCG Barolo.
It is produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with maceration of 4-6 weeks in contact with the skins depending on the vintage. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, for 4-6 months in steel and for a further 6 months in glass, before being marketed.
This Barolo has a garnet red color with orange hues that become accentuated over the years. The nose opens with ethereal and delicate aromas of flowers and red fruits, of pleasant persistence. On the palate it is warm, dry and harmonious, with sweet and complex tannins that make it a wine of rare austerity.
Perfect to accompany roasts, this wine is ideal in combination with all game dishes.
