Description

The Barolo Gramolere by Fratelli Alessandria is produced in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba using Nebbiolo grapes. The vineyards are located in the Gramolere area with a south – south / west exposure and an altitude between 350 and 450 metres. The vines have an average age of about 30 years and the soil is of medium calcareous texture tending towards sandy.

The harvest takes place in October with manual harvesting. The cultivation system is Guyot, fermentation and maceration take place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28-30 °C for a period of 22-30 days. The wine matures for approximately 3 years in Slavonian and French oak barrels, for 2 months in steel and finally for at least 6 months in the bottle.

Barolo Gramolere has an intense garnet red color and offers a complex bouquet of aromas ranging from ripe red fruit to sweet spices, with notes of leather and tobacco. On the palate, it is a full and robust wine, with well-integrated tannins and a long persistence that reflects its elegance and structure.

This wine pairs perfectly with red meat dishes, roasts and mature cheeses.
