Nose of beautiful freshness, with undergrowth fruit, blackberries in the head, and closing on hints of fresh thyme. Mouth crunchy, taut, with savory tannins and a balsamic finish.

Description

The Barolo of Cantina Gemma comes from the vineyards of the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, in the province of Cuneo.

It is produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand around the second half of October. Fermentation takes place, with maceration in contact with the skins, in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of maximum 28 ° C. This is followed by aging carried out mainly in Slavonian oak barrels and partly in barriques for at least 38 months.

This Barolo di Gemma appears ruby red in color tending to garnet. On the nose it enchants with a complex and intense bouquet, with notes of ripe red pulp fruit enriched by hints of rose hips and spices. In the mouth it is consistent and concentrated, with well integrated tannins that are sweetened by returns of fully ripe fruit.

It goes beautifully with first courses based on truffles, roasts and stews.
