Description
This Barolo is produced by Fratelli Barale, a winery that has been producing wine in the municipality of Barolo since the end of the 19th century. Today Eleonora and Gloria Barale lead the company. The grapes come from the Coste di Rose, Preda and Monrobiolo vineyards.
The grapes are normally harvested at the beginning of October, to then be destemmed and softly pressed. Fermentation takes place in thermoregulated oak vats with the use of indigenous yeasts and with a subsequent maceration on the skins for approx. 30 days. The wine then ages for 3 years in 15-30 hl French oak barrels. The wine is finally bottled without clarification or stabilization and remains in the bottle for at least 12 months.
Garnet red in colour, the wine has a broad and ethereal nose, with hints of ripe red fruit, rose and dried violet. The sip is dry, with a fine tannic texture and a persistent finish.
This Barolo goes very well with roasted red meats and noble poultry, game, braised meats and aged cheeses.
