Description

Giacomo Conterno's Barolo Francia is one of the most famous labels of this extraordinary Langhe producer. The grapes come from the Francia vineyard, located in the cru of the same name, in the southern part of the Serralunga d'Alba territory.

The cool climate, always breezy and the soils composed of calcareous-clayey marl, allow Nebbiolo to reach maturity with an intense and rich aromatic profile. At the end of the fermentation process, the wine ages for about 48 months in large oak barrels.

In the most typical style of the great reds of Serralunga, it is garnet red with a profile of austere elegance, with aromas of morello cherry, small red berries, licorice root and a subtle spiciness. The sip is deep and powerful, with a dense tannic texture well integrated with the body of the wine.

To be combined with stewed and braised game.
