Description
The Giovanni Rosso winery is one of the most prestigious and rich in history of the Serralunga d'Alba area. It is a family business, which for over a hundred years has been managing vineyards of the highest quality in some of the most famous crus of the denomination.
Barolo Ester Canale Rosso is the fruit of a parcel grown in Vigna Rionda with plants over seventy years old, which have always produced grapes of the highest quality. Fermentation lasts about 30 days with daily pumping over and delestage. The wine rests for about 3 years in large Slavonian oak barrels.
It is a Barolo of absolute level, elegant and austere, with a profile characterized by floral and balsamic aromas, hints of officinal herbs, licorice root, spices and small red berries. Deep and intense, it has a dense tannic texture and a complex and very persistent sip.
To be combined with roasts, game, braised in red wine.
