Description
Domenico Clerico's Barolo comes from a blend of Crus located in the Monforte d'Alba area. On average, the Nebbiolo vines used are 45 – 50 years old.
Following the harvest and fermentation, the various parcels refine for 16 months in barriques and are assembled. The resulting wine continues its refinement process inside large wooden barrels, where it remains for 16 months. A final year of maturation in the bottle makes the Barolo ready for marketing.
It has a ruby red color, tending towards garnet. The aroma is reminiscent of raspberry and morello cherry, withered violet and rose petals. In the mouth it envelops the palate with the finesse of the tannin and the consistency of its structure. It persists in a memory of wild berries.
Pair with a plate of pappardelle with game ragù.
