Description

The Barolo del Comune di Verduno by Fratelli Alessandria is an elegant and complex wine, produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes grown in the vineyards located in the municipality of Verduno. This wine reflects the unique characteristics of the territory, with variable exposures on calcareous and silty soils.

The grape harvest takes place manually in October, guaranteeing the highest quality of the fruit. The winemaking involves fermentation and maceration in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 26-28°C for 25-30 days. Subsequently, the wine matures for approximately 3 years in Slavonian and French oak barrels. After maturation in wood, the wine spends 2 months in steel and at least 6 months in the bottle before being marketed.

The Barolo from the Municipality of Verduno has an intense garnet red color. On the nose it offers a complex bouquet with hints of ripe red fruit, sweet spices, tobacco and floral notes of violet. On the palate it is structured, with well-integrated tannins and a long persistence that allows notes of liquorice and leather to emerge.

This Barolo pairs perfectly with red meat dishes, game and mature cheeses.
