Description

Barolo Ciabot Mentin is one of the most famous labels of Domenico Clerico, a producer who has contributed to making the value of Barolo known throughout the world. Produced for the first time in 1982, it comes from the grapes of the Ciabot Mentin vineyard, which is located in the Ginestra cru of Monforte d'Alba at about 400 meters above sea level, with an exposure facing east. The soils are characterized by the prized Sant'Agata marls, composed of silt, sand and clay, with a strong presence of limestone.

At the end of fermentation with maceration on the skins for approximately 30 days, the wine rests for over 2 years in French oak barriques, 80% new.

The bouquet expresses aromas of morello cherry, ripe cherry, berries and delicate spicy hints. The sip is intense and complex, with a dense and evolved tannic texture, well integrated with a rich and expressive fruit.

To be paired with roast red meats and game.
