Description

The Barolo Bussia Soprana Vigna Mondoca Riserva di Oddero was born in vineyards located in the Cuneo municipality of Monforte d'Alba, in Piedmont.

It is produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, carefully picked and selected by hand in the first ten days of October. After a very soft pressing, the must ferments, with maceration of about 30 days, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28-29 ° C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 36 months in oak barrels, followed by further refinement for 2 years in the bottle.

This Barolo di Oddero is characterized by an intense ruby red color, with light garnet reflections. The nose opens with persuasive notes of small red and balsamic fruits, enriched by elegant hints of Mediterranean scrub, dried rose that evolve during aging towards goudron. On the palate it is balanced and powerful, with fine tannins that accompany a long and complex finish.

Perfect to accompany game and braised meat, this red wine is ideal in combination with appetizers and typical Piedmontese dishes. Excellent as a meditation wine.
