Description
Always linked to the land of the Langhe, the Burlotto family manages a historic winery in Verduno, in the northernmost area of the Barolo appellation, with vineyards in some prestigious crus. The Acclivi label is produced only in the most favorable years, with a selection of the best grapes from old vines from four Verduno crus: Neirane, Rocche dell'Olmo, Boscatto and Monvigliero.
It is a blended Barolo, according to the old custom of the Langhe, a true synthesis of the Verduno territory. The grapes ferment in open French oak vats and the wine rests in large Allier oak barrels for a period ranging from 20 to 33 months, depending on the vintage.
The color is garnet red and the bouquet is characterized by floral aromas, balsamic herbs, berries and hints of rhubarb. Harmonious and complex, it stretches on the palate with fine tannins well integrated with a ripe fruit, which anticipates a fresh and mineral finish.
To be combined with roast beef, stewed meat and game.
