Description

For more than a century, Giacomo Conterno's winery has been producing great wines in Monforte d'Alba and still represents the traditional face of the Langhe reds today. The property can count on some plots located in the most famous crus of the Barolo area, which are vinified individually to give life to now legendary bottles.

The label is the pure expression of the Cerretta cru, which is located in the northern area of the Serralunga d'Alba territory. After the traditional red vinification with maceration on the skins, as per the ancient custom of the Langhe, the wine ages for at least 40 months in large barrels.

It is an elegant and austere Barolo, in the clearest style of Serralunga. It has a garnet color with refined floral aromas, officinal herbs and spices, on a background of raspberry and red currant. The sip is deep, powerful and complex, with lively tannins and a very persistent finish.

To combine with game, braised or roast beef.
