Description
Historical producer of the Verduno area, Burlotto also owns a beautiful vineyard in the famous cru of Cannubi, in the municipal area of Barolo. It is a parcel located at an altitude of 280 metres, facing east, characterized by the famous marl soils of Sant'Agata, composed of limestone and clay, with a significant presence of sand.
At the end of the manual harvest, the best bunches are left to ferment in open French oak vats. According to the most ancient tradition of the area, the wine ages for two and a half years in 35 hectolitre Allier oak barrels, to then complete the refinement with at least 9 months in the bottle.
In the glass we find all the elegance and power of a great Cannubi, with a garnet color and fruity, floral and slightly balsamic aromas. The sip is long and complex with dense tannins, but well integrated with the fruit.
To be combined with roasted game or stewed beef.
