Description
This elegant Barolo from the Damiano estate comes to life from a pure Nebbiolo grape and a predominantly sandy calcareous soil. It comes from old vines with an age between 30 and 50 years and, after the harvest, in which only the best grapes participate, it ferments at a controlled temperature for about 20 days in steel, while it ages for at least 24 months in wood.
Bright ruby red in the glass, with reflections that turn towards orange, it opens to the nose with a broad and enveloping perfume, with evident fruity notes of cherry and plum and evolved hints of tobacco, licorice and cocoa. The taste is harmonious and pleasantly dry, with all its soft and tasty tannins. The finish is full-bodied and full.
An important wine, it can be successfully paired with game as well as stewed red meat. Try it with pasta with meat sauce.
