Description
This Barolo is produced by the Alberto Ballarin winery, located in La Morra, one of the most fascinating villages in the Langhe. The winery was born in the 80s by the will of Luigi and his sons Giorgio and Giovanni. In recent years, Giorgio's son, Alberto, decides to devote himself completely to the family business: this is how the Alberto Ballarin company was born. The vineyards of this Barolo are located in La Morra, Monforte d'Alba and Novello.
The harvest is manual and takes place in October. The grapes are fermented in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine thus obtained is then aged for 26 months in wood, 14 of which in French oak barriques and the remaining 12 in large Slavonian oak barrels.
In the glass, Alberto Ballarin's Barolo appears garnet red with orange hues. The nose is variegated and reveals above all floral aromas of rose and violet. The sip is balanced, slightly tannic and spicy, with a long persistence.
Ideal in combination with truffle-based dishes, meat and stewed game.
