Description

Barbera del Monferrato La Monella by Braida comes from vineyards located in the municipalities of Rocchetta Tanaro and Costigliole d'Asti, in Piedmont.

It is produced with 100% Barbera grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration on the skins, in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for 10 days. After a 4-month ageing in steel, the second fermentation takes place in a pressurized tank, according to the Charmat Method, with bottle ageing for about 2 months.

La Monella di Braida has a bright purplish ruby red colour. The nose opens with an enveloping vinous perfume, with evident hints of red fruit. On the palate it is lively, full-bodied and soft, pleasantly fresh.

Perfect in combination with cold cuts appetizers and first courses in general, this sparkling red wine is ideal to accompany boiled, mixed grilled, roasted and stewed red meats.
