Description
Barbera d'Asti Le Orme 16 Months by Michele Chiarlo originates from a selection of the Montemareto, Montaldo Scarampi and Costa vineyards. located in the southern part of the Asti area.
It is the result of only Barbera grapes, harvested only by hand. The must ferments in steel tanks, with maceration on its skins for 10 days. Once the malolactic fermentation is over, the wine ages between steel and wood for at least 16 months.
The color is ruby red with violet reflections. The nose brings elegant and intense fruity notes, among which ripe cherry and black currant stand out. The taste is balanced, with a good structure, completed by a nice flavor in the finish.
He loves first courses with tomato and fish from Livorno, but he does not even disdain pizza and white meats.
