Description

Barbera d'Asti is produced by Marchesi di Gresy in the La Serra estate, one of their 4 estates together with Monte Aribaldo, Monte Colombo and Martinenga, all located in the Langhe or Monferrato and with an area of 45 hectares of vineyards.

The 100% Barbera grapes are carefully selected by hand before proceeding with red vinification with maceration with raised cap at a controlled temperature, during which repeated daily pumping over and periodic delestage are carried out. The aging takes place partly in French oak barriques, partly in Slavonian oak barrels for 5 months.

Ruby red in color with violet reflections, the nose reveals aromas of blackberry, raspberry and cherry. The sip is full and fresh, lively and crunchy.

It goes well with cold cuts appetizers and pasta with meat sauce.
