Description
Giacomo Conterno's Barbera d'Alba "Vigna Cerretta" comes from a prestigious cru located in Serralunga d'Alba, in the Piedmont region. This wine represents one of the most elegant and intense expressions of Barbera, with grapes coming from a vineyard renowned for its richness and finesse. The result is a wine that reflects the extraordinary potential of the territory and the Piedmontese wine tradition.
The winemaking follows traditional methods, with long aging in large oak barrels. This process allows the wine to soften its tannins and develop aromatic complexity, smoothing out the youthful exuberance of the Barbera to obtain a great aging red. The traditional philosophy of the winery guarantees the maximum expression of terroir and variety.
At sight, Barbera d'Alba "Vigna Cerretta" has an intense and bright purple-red color. On the nose, notes of berries, cherry, black cherry, sweet spices, toasted and spicy nuances emerge, with menthol echoes. On the palate, it stands out for its elegance, warmth and softness, with silky tannins and a good freshness that give the wine a long persistence and complexity.
This wine pairs wonderfully with baked pastas, such as lasagna or cannelloni, and red meat dishes.
