Description
The Barbera d'Alba Sulfites free of Castello di Neive was born in the Santo Stefano vineyard, at an altitude of 200-300 meters above sea level. The winery was founded in the early 1960s by Italo Supino. Here the first wines based on Nebbiolo grapes were vinified by the oenologist Louis Oudart in the mid-1800s.
The pure Barbera grapes are vinified in thermo-controlled steel tanks with oxygenation and the addition of nutrients.
It has a brilliant ruby red colour. The nose reveals aromas of cherry jam. The sip is juicy and fragrant, with excellent persistence.
It goes well with stewed red meat.
