Description

Barbera d'Alba Gallina is produced by La Spinetta, one of the most interesting wineries on the Piedmontese wine scene. The grapes come from Gallina a Neive, in the province of Cuneo.

The Barbera grapes are vinified in thermo-controlled steel tanks, with maceration on the skins for 14-15 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, followed by 12-month aging in the same containers.

Ruby red in color with violet reflections, it has aromas of ripe cherry, green pepper and cinnamon. The sip is warm, with tamed acidity and a precise finish.

To be combined with risotto with cheeses and baked lamb.
