Description
Barbera d'Asti Superiore Nizza comes from the historic vineyards of the Oddero company, located in the municipality of Vinchio d'Asti, in Piedmont.
It is produced exclusively with Barbera grapes, harvested only by hand during the third decade of September. Fermentation takes place for about 15 days in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages in barrique for 18 months before being bottled.
It has a ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose opens with hints of red fruits, enriched with spicy notes of bitter cocoa and coffee. On the palate it is dry, but full of character.
Perfect to accompany grilled red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
