Description
Barbera d'Asti Superiore La Luna e i Falò by Vite Colte was born in the renowned company vineyards located in Asti, in Piedmont.
It is produced entirely from Barbera grapes, selected and harvested entirely by hand. The alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 28 - 30 °C for about 15 days, which is quickly followed by the start of the malolactic fermentation. The refinement takes place in barriques for about 12 months, during which this Barbera with its robust structure further enriches.
Barbera d'Asti Superiore La Luna e i Falò is characterized by an intense ruby red colour. The nose opens with an elegant and harmonious bouquet with hints of violet, licorice and vanilla. On the palate it is full, soft and pleasantly dry. This wine is enriched by a refined base of vanilla and wild berries which support the rightly persistent finish.
Excellent to serve with mushrooms, cold cuts and cured meats, it is ideal with baked chicken and grilled red meats.
