Description
Barbera d'Asti Ca di Pian is a red with an indigenous imprint, originating in the province of Asti between the municipality of Castagnole Lanze and Costigliole d'Asti.
The grapes, Barbera in purity, come from vineyards of 29-34 years, spread over a mainly calcareous soil for a total area of 23 hectares, at 300 meters above sea level. The harvest takes place between September and October, strictly by hand. The alcoholic fermentation of the must in steel tanks precedes the malolactic fermentation in barrique. Refine in second passage barriques for a period of about 12 months. Another 12 months of aging in steel precede the bottling, carried out without any filtration. A final maturation of 6 months in the bottle completes the winemaking process.
Garnet red, with good chromatic intensity. The scent of this Barbera is fruity in hints of blueberry, black currant and orange peel, on a background of undergrowth and earth. The sip is designed by freshness, which prolongs the fruity stamp that characterizes its taste. Excellent body and tannin is very delicate.
It goes very well with a roasted pork belly
