Description
Renato Ratti's Barbera d'Asti Battaglione intends to celebrate the ancient Piedmontese winemaking traditions linked to the Barbera vine.
The grapes are harvested at the end of September, followed by fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature of 30 ° C and maceration for 7-10 days. The wine ages in cask for about 12 months.
Poured into the glass it shows a beautiful intense ruby red. Intense notes of ripe red fruit combine on the nose with rich spicy hints. The mouth is pleasant and consistent, of great elegance and persistence.
It is a wine that gives its best with first courses but also goes very well with red meats.
