Description

The Barbera D'Alba Vignota of the Conterno Fantino Company comes from the renowned vineyards of Monforte d'Alba located in the Piedmont region.

It is produced entirely from Barbera grapes all harvested and selected manually in the period from late September to early October. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration take place in contact with the skins in stainless steel tanks horizontally for about 6 - 8 days. Subsequently the wine ages in second passage barriques for about 10 months. This is a certified wine and is obtained from organic agriculture.

Barbera D'Alba Vignota is characterized by a ruby red color. The nose opens with a delicately fruity bouquet, with hints of small ripe red fruits. On the palate it is pleasantly dry, balanced and refined.

Perfect to be served with savory pasta dishes with meat sauce or with mushroom and sausage risotto; it is ideal to combine with stewed meats.
