Description
Mauro Veglio's Barbera d'Alba is obtained only from Barbera grapes harvested in the vineyards located in the municipalities of Diano d'Alba, in the Bric area, and Serralunga d'Alba, in the Barbiasco area.
Fermentation takes place with maceration on the skins in steel at a controlled temperature for 26-28 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. The refinement continues in stainless steel until the following summer, preserving the freshness and purity of the fruit.
This wine has an intense ruby red color and purple reflections. Young notes of red fruits emerge on the nose, among which the hints of black cherry and plum stand out. The taste is balanced and fresh, characterized by a mineral vein and a delicate savory finish.
It is an excellent choice to accompany first courses, cured meats and stewed meats.
