Description
Barbera d'Alba Superiore La Preda is produced by Fratelli Barale, a winery that has been producing wine in the municipality of Barolo since the end of the 19th century. Today Eleonora and Gloria Barale lead the company.
The grapes are normally harvested in the second half of October, to then be destemmed and softly pressed. Fermentation takes place in thermoregulated steel tanks and with indigenous yeasts, while maceration on the skins lasts about a week. The wine ages for 12 months in tonneaux and at least 6 months in the bottle.
Intense ruby red in color with purple reflections, the wine has intense aromas of ripe fruit and cherries in alcohol on the nose. The sip is dry and warm, with a good body and a pleasant acidity.
This Barbera goes very well with roasts, mixed boiled meats, game and aged cheeses.
