Barbera d'Alba DOC Aves 2022 G.B. Burlotto

Barbera d'Alba Aves is produced by the Burlotto winery, located in Verduno. This wine is a blend of Barbera grapes selected from the best vineyards (Neirane, Castagna and Cadia), located in Verduno and Roddi.

The grape harvest usually takes place in the first half of October. The grapes are vinified with maceration and fermentation of approx. a week in French oak vats. The wine ages for a few months in French oak vats, followed by malolactic fermentation and refinement which take place in 5hl wooden barrels. The wine ages in the bottle for at least 6 months.

The color is ruby red and the bouquet is characterized by hints of violet, red fruit, with hints of spice. The sip is fresh, with sweet tannins and a discreet persistence.

To be combined with baked pasta, stewed meats and aged cheeses.
