Description
La Spinetta is an interesting Piedmontese reality, which produces excellent wines with a strong territorial imprint. The estate owns vineyards in various areas of the region and manages some parcels of particular value in the Langhe. The wine comes from the Valeriano di Treiso vineyard, which is over 55 years old and is located at an altitude of 380 meters above sea level, on calcareous-clayey marl with veins of sand.
Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature with maceration on the skins for a couple of weeks. The wine rests for approx. 18 months in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new and completes the refinement with 6 months in the bottle.
Ruby red in colour, it is distinguished by elegant aromas of dried flowers, spices, licorice root and small red berried fruits. Harmonious and delicate, it has tannins of great finesse, a ripe fruit and a fresh and savory finish.
To be combined with tagliatelle with meat sauce and small roasted game.
