Description

In addition to being the name of the vineyard of origin, Starderi is one of the Barbarescos signed by La Spinetta, a Piedmontese winery located in the municipality of Castagnole delle Lanze.

The vineyard of origin is populated by vines between the ages of 51 and 57. It extends over a mainly calcareous soil, for an area of 6.5 hectares at an altitude of 270 meters. Following the manual harvest, the grapes carry out the alcoholic fermentation phase in steel tanks. The malolactic fermentation takes place inside barriques and the subsequent aging of 22 months. At the end, stop for 3 months in steel and 12 in bottle, without having been previously filtered. 3 years after the harvest, it enters the market.

Ruby red, at sight. The bouquet is reminiscent of raspberry jam, a sweet cinnamon spice and a menthol trail. In the mouth it shows its elegant gait through a velvety and composed tannin, inserted on a full body and enlivened by a vivid freshness. It closes in a persistence of aromatic complexity.

To be combined with a donkey stew.
