Description
The Barbaresco Riserva Muncagota by Produttori del Barbaresco is obtained exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. The vineyards are cultivated in the Langhe, on the pre-Alpine hills of southern Piedmont, and located on clay-limestone soils with south-east exposure.
Fermentation takes place in steel at 30°C for 28 days, a period during which the must macerates on the skins to enrich the wine with colour, tannins and aromas. Subsequently the wine ages for 30 months in oak barrels, with a further rest of 12 months in the bottle before being released on the market.
It has a ruby red color. The olfactory bouquet is rich and varied, with intense and floral aromas, accompanied by notes of fruit and spices. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, with a complex and elegant structure, balanced tannins and a long and persistent finish.
Perfect in combination with robust first courses, white meats, red meats and game-based dishes. Its elegance and complexity make it an ideal companion for refined dinners and special occasions.
