Description
Barbaresco Riserva Montefico is a wine produced from the Nebbiolo vine grown in the pre-Alpine hills of southern Piedmont, precisely in the Barbaresco area. The soil, characterized by a clay-limestone composition with southern exposure, together with the climate of the region, gives the wine unique qualities giving rise to wines of great elegance and complexity.
The winemaking follows a careful process that begins with fermentation in steel at 30° C for 28 days with maceration on the skins, ensuring optimal extraction of colors and aromas. Maturation continues for 30 months in oak barrels, followed by 12 months of bottle refinement to further perfect its characteristics.
This Barbaresco has a deep ruby red color. The nose reveals an elegant and complex bouquet, characterized by fruity and spicy notes. The taste is defined by a medium body, balanced tannins and a mineral and persistent finish.
Recommended pairings include rich and structured dishes such as pasta, red meats and game. Its structure and complexity make it able to accompany these dishes, enhancing their flavours.
