Description

Barbaresco Riserva Camp Gros is produced by Marchesi di Gresy in the Martinenga estate, the most important of the 4 estates together with Monte Aribaldo, Monte Colombo and La Serra, all located in the Langhe or Monferrato and with an area of 45 hectares of vineyards.

The 100% Nebbiolo grapes are carefully selected by hand before proceeding with the red vinification with maceration with emerged cap at a controlled temperature for 8-10 days and with submerged campello for 20-30 days. The aging takes place partly in French oak barriques (12 months), partly in Slavonian oak barrels (6 months).

Intense garnet red in color, the nose reveals aromas of violet and rose, red and black fruit jam as well as hints of licorice and tobacco.

It goes very well with game and stewed red meats and aged cheeses.
