Description

The Barbaresco Prunotto dei Marchesi Antinori was born in the homonymous estate, located in Alba, Piedmont, on a soft plain surrounded by the vineyards of the Langhe and Roero.

It is produced with pure Nebbiolo grapes, left to macerate for about 15 days at a maximum temperature of 30 ° C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and, a small part, in second passage barriques. Then it rests in the bottle for another 10 months in the Prunotto cellars.

It is characterized by a garnet red color of good intensity. The bouquet is complex, with evident hints of red fruits and pleasant spicy notes. On the palate it is full and velvety, with a long and persistent aftertaste.

For its characteristics of structure and body, this wine is perfect to accompany savory first courses based on meat sauce, red meats, roasts and aged cheeses.
