Description
The Barbaresco of the Palás line by Michele Chiarlo comes from the vineyards of Barbaresco, characterized by a soil of clayey-limestone marl with a good presence of silt, and Treiso, more sandy, within the Barbaresco appellation.
It is obtained exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes, which are harvested only by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, with maceration in contact with the skins for 13–14 days. Once the malolactic fermentation is over, the wine ages for at least 2 years, of which at least 18 months in large barrels before refining in the bottle.
Garnet red wine, it proves complex and delicate, ethereal on the nose, with notes of small red fruits, green pepper and fine spices. On the palate it is broad and aristocratic, with good balance, with velvety tannins.
Perfect to accompany roasts and game, it offers the best of itself paired with aged cheeses.
