Description
Barbaresco Nubiola is produced by the Pelissero winery, which for generations has been producing wine in Treiso, a small village in the Barbaresco area. The family manages 42 hectares of vineyards with native grapes such as Dolcetto, Nebbiolo and Barbera. "Nubiola" is an old name for Nebbiolo, as it is called in ancient agronomic treatises.
Once harvested, the grapes are vinified in steel tanks, to then be aged for about 24 months in large and small oak barrels.
Ruby red in colour, the nose is dominated by floral and fruity notes, ripe red fruit and medicinal herbs. The sip is structured, soft and velvety, with a long finish.
It goes excellently with important risottos, red meats and aged cheeses.
