Description
Barbaresco Lorens is produced by the Lodali winery, founded in the countryside of Treiso, in the province of Cuneo, in the early 1900s by Giovanni Lodali.
It consists exclusively of Nebbiolo grapes, which, after crushing-destemming, are vinified with maceration on the skins of approx. 25 days. The wine then ages in 25hl Austrian oak barrels for a few months, to conclude the refinement with 12 bottles.
Ruby red in color with garnet reflections, the wine reveals aromas of violets, ripe plums and licorice on the nose. The sip is dry and well structured, with a long persistence.
It goes ideally with game dishes, both stewed and roasted, as well as dishes with truffles.
