Description

The Chardonnay Les Graviers is produced by Domaine André et Mireille Tissot, located in Montigny Les Arsures, in the Jura region. The winery was founded in 1962 by André and Mireille and is now managed by their son Stéphane Tissot and his wife Bénédicte, who cultivate the 35 hectares of vineyards following the principles of biodynamic agriculture. All the wines of the Domaine have a low dose of added sulphites, compared to the average of most wines.

It consists exclusively of Chardonnay grapes, which are pressed with stalks. The fermentation is spontaneous, only with indigenous yeasts of the grapes, and is held in 228l oak barrels, of which 15% are new. The wine ages in them for 12 months, followed by another 4 months in steel.

Golden yellow in color, it expresses aromas of ripe fruit with yellow and white pulp on the nose, as well as notes of sweet and citrus spices. The sip is dry and ample, with a savory and persistent finish.

It goes well with white meats, shellfish and tasty fish.
