Description
The wooden box contains 2 classic Venetian red wines from the Tommasi company.
Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is produced from Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta grapes. Once harvested, the grapes are laid out on racks in large fruit cellars where they dry for 3 months. The must ages in Slavonian oak barrels at a controlled temperature before being bottled. An intense ruby red color with purple highlights, it reveals intensity and great finesse to the nose, with pleasant hints of ripe cherries and plums. Complex and velvety on the palate, full and full-bodied, with pleasant aromas of dried grapes. Perfect with red meats and game.
Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore is produced with Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes. The grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks for about 15 days, then the must referments on the Amarone marc for about 12-13 days, with continuous daily pumping over. The vinification takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels for about 18 months, and for a further 6 months in the bottle. An intense ruby red, the nose is rich and spicy, enriched by pleasant notes of black pepper and hints of dried grapes. On the palate it is full, soft, with elegant notes of ripe cherries. Perfect to accompany red meats and white meats.
