Description
Amarone di Villamatta is born in vineyards located at the foot of the Lessini Mountains, on varied soils sometimes rich in limestone and outcropping rocks, sometimes of alluvial origin, especially in the valley floors.
Produced from the classic Venetian grapes of Amarone, Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, they are firstly left to dry for approx. 3 months, before being vinified and aged in steel vats.
Ruby red in color with garnet reflections, this Amarone opens on the nose with fruity hints of cherry, black cherry, wild berries and chocolate. The sip is fresh and structured.
Ideal in combination with stewed and braised meats and with cured meats and aged cheeses.
