Description
Amarone della Valpolicella Valpantena Bertani is made with Corvina and Rondinella grapes in the Grezzana cellar.
The grapes suitable for the preparation of this wine come from soils with clayey and calcareous composition and from vines with an average age between 15 and 20 years. After harvesting, the grapes wither in the lofts and then undergo a long fermentation and maceration. The wine then ages in barrels of different capacities for 24 months before spending a further 6 months in the bottle.
Intense ruby red in color, it releases complexity and richness on the nose through notes of cherry and blackberry jam, followed by spicy notes of cinnamon and black pepper. On the palate it is dense and enveloping, with very refined and dense tannins before a decidedly long finish.
Try it with savory first courses, grilled beef and game. Also excellent as a meditation wine.
