Description
Tedeschi's Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Capitel Monte Olmi is born in vineyards located on the rolling hills of Mezzane and Tregnago, in the heart of Pedemonte di Valpolicella. This wine represents the true essence of the Tedeschi winery, with a history of approximately 50 years.
It is produced at 30% with Corvina grapes, 30% with Corvinone grapes, 30% with Rondinella grapes and 10% with other grapes, including Oseleta, Negrara, Dindarella, Croatina and Forsellina, harvested between the end of September and beginning of October. After soft pressing, the grapes ferment at a controlled temperature of 15°C for approximately 40-60 days. Subsequently the wine ages in Slavonian oak barrels for 48 months and for a further 12 months in the bottle.
It is characterized by an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with elegant hints of cherry, enriched by pleasant notes of raspberry and currant. On the palate it has a pleasantly robust structure and good acidity. The wine has a long and persistent finish.
Perfect to accompany game and red meats, it is ideal in combination with mature cheeses.
