Description
Villa Loren's Amarone della Valpolicella is a sumptuous and complex red wine, produced in the heart of Veneto with selected Corvina, Rondinella and Corvinone grapes. This wine represents one of the greatest expressions of Veneto viticulture. The drying technique of the grapes gives Amarone a unique concentration of flavors and a rich body.
After harvesting, the grapes are placed in small boxes and left to dry for about three months in dry and well-ventilated rooms, to obtain a natural concentration of sugars and aromas. A soft pressing follows, with a slow fermentation at low temperature and a long maceration of over a month. The wine is then refined in oak barrels for about 24 months, completing its aging with a further period of at least eight months in the bottle before being sold.
Famous for its intense ruby red color and its deep aromatic profile, it offers a complex and spicy bouquet on the nose, with hints of cinnamon, cherry jam and walnut. On the palate it is enveloping and structured, with notes of ripe black cherry, vanilla and coffee that emerge in the finish, giving the wine an extraordinary elegance and depth.
Perfect when paired with game, roast meats and intensely flavoured mature cheeses, it is also appreciated as a meditation wine for its aromas and richness.
