Description
Precious and pure expression of Valpolicella, Amarone Villa Annaberta comes from the classic and traditional blend of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes, harvested strictly by hand in the second week of September. During the winter, the grapes stay in the fruit lofts, on the arele, the typical bamboo racks where the drying occurs: the grapes become smaller and acquire a conspicuous concentration of sugars. After drying, the grapes are de-stemmed and crushed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with a first maceration phase of about 2-5 ° C. Alcoholic fermentation follows which lasts about 20 days at a controlled temperature of 20-24 ° C. The aging takes place in barriques, tonneaux and lasts about 20 months. After a careful examination, the steel blend is subsequently made.
Intense red in color, the perfume brings to the nose the typical hints of cherry, blackberries and spicy notes. A full-bodied wine, which reveals itself on the fruity, meaty, round, soft palate with evolved tannins and a robust structure.
Excellent accompaniment to red, grilled or grilled meats. Excellent with tasty and important first courses and with risotto. Perfect with aged cheeses.
