Description
Amarone della Valpolicella Sartori comes from vineyards located in the northern area of Verona from limestone-clay soils.
It is obtained from a traditional blend of autochthonous Veronese grapes in which the international Cabernet Sauvignon variety plays a small part. The grapes are collected in small boxes and left to dry for about 3 months in dry and well-ventilated rooms. The must ferments in steel for a long time for about 30 days, then it is transferred to cement tanks to carry out malolactic fermentation. The wine ages for about 3 years in oak barrels and remains for further 6 months in bottle.
It has an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose there are intense aromas of red fruit and spicy hints. In the mouth it is revealed full and velvety, with a good persistence of taste.
Ideal to be served in the company of recipes based on red meats, game and long-aged cheeses.
