Description
The Amarone della Valpolicella di Santi was born in vineyards located in the historic towns of Negrar, Fumane and Marano, in the province of Verona.
It is mainly produced with Corvina and Rondinella grapes, harvested only by hand during the month of October. Fermentation traditionally takes place in red at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques for 24 months and for a further 6 months in bottle before being released on the market.
This Amarone is characterized by a dark red color. The nose opens with an elegant and ethereal bouquet of dried grapes and plum, enriched with pleasant spicy notes of cloves and cinnamon. On the palate it is warm, pleasantly full and vigorous. The wine has an elegant base of peach kernel and toasted almond that lingers in the mouth for a long time.
Perfect to accompany red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
